After, I believe, a pleasant summer and a two-month-long resting, the students of our high school have met up again in order to start a new stage of their journey towards a successful future. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the students assembled untraditionally in the school’s gym where the festive opening of the new school year took place. After the Slovak anthem the principal addressed the students. In her speech she welcomed all the students and introduced the new subject teachers and home room teachers. In her speech, she paid special attention to our seniors for whom this is the beginning of their last year at our school, as well as to the freshmen for whom, in contrast, this year will be their first experience with our school. The students from other years could, though, listen to the words of encouragement dedicated specifically to their grade level. After the speech, the students, accompanied by their home room teachers, moved to their classrooms where the introductory activities continued in a narrower circle.
