At SBG BESST, we believe that

  1. All of our students should learn from employers about potential careers and the skills that are valued in the workplace as well as experience life in a workplace situation,

  2. All of our students should have access to a relevant programme of advice and guidance tailored to their individual needs.

  3. All our students should to be equipped with the tools they need to make informed and active choices about their future progression.

SBG BEEST students are involved in a range of activities which build to create a comprehensive programme of Careers Education and Guidance.

We work closely with a number of local and national employers as well as educational providers, including UCAS, Interstudy, Unilink, Education first, Scandinavian studies, SCIO, FH Wiener Neustadt, to provide all our students with clear pathways to further study and a full range of employment and training opportunities to enable them to make informed decisions.

On a practical basis, all students have access to individual advice and guidance from our dedicated Careers Advisors, both for domestic and international options. This is complemented by a range of activities designed to promote self-awareness, employability skills and an understanding of employment opportunities and expectations at a local, national and international level.

Additionally, students are offered practical opportunities such as Mini Erasmus, which takes place annually and provides an insight into university life. We also visit Gaudeamus careers fair and Night of Chances to further strengthen their understanding of the range of options available to them.
