Student´s Union
The Student Union (SU) at the BESST Private Bilingual High School in Trnava serves as the school parliament in accordance with applicable legislation. It represents the school’s students and advocates for their interests in dealings with the principal, school administration, and external parties. The SU protects and defends the rights and legitimate interests of students in the terms of democracy, inclusion, and freedom of speech.
The Student Union is a group of students who represent the voice of the student and also participate in organizing various school and extracurricular events. It serves as a bridge between the school administration and the students—it brings forward suggestions, facilitates communication, and helps shape school activities to meet the needs of the students.
HOW THE STUDENT UNION WORKS
Student Union members meet regularly throughout the school year. Together, they plan projects, organize events, and address issues that matter to students—from the school atmosphere to suggestions for improvement in various areas. The Student Union also collaborates with teachers and school administrators so that students’ ideas can be turned into real activities.
WHAT THE STUDENT UNION OFFERS
The Student Union creates space for creativity and participation. Students can get involved in organizing school events, charity projects, and sports or cultural activities. They learn responsibility, teamwork, planning, and communication—skills that are helpful not only in school but also in future studies and life.
WHY GET INVOLVED
Membership in the student union allows students to influence school life, develop their ideas, and actively contribute making the school an even more pleasant and motivating place. It is an opportunity to grow, build community, and get involved in events that have a real impact on the school and classmates.

TEAM-BUILDING EVENT FULL OF TEAMWORK AND DELICIOUS FOOD
In April, members of the Student Union gathered for a team-building event aimed at strengthening relationships, fostering cooperation, and spending time together in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. This time, the program centered around cooking and dining together.
The students were divided into smaller groups, with each group responsible for preparing one course of a three-course dinner. The first group set out to prepare the appetizer—they made their own tortilla chips, which they served with guacamole and a tasty cheese sauce.
The main course was handled by the second group, which cooked linguine with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. The aroma from the kitchen drew in all the participants and created a pleasant, homey atmosphere.
The third group provided the sweet finale to the evening. For dessert, they prepared a homemade cake with chocolate and fruit, which everyone enjoyed together.
After finishing their preparations, the students gathered around one table and savored the results of their teamwork. The evening was not just about food, but above all about cooperation,
communication, and building good relationships among members of the Student Union. The team-building event once again confirmed that shared activities outside of class are of great importance for the functioning of the group and the creation of a positive school community.
