Project Erasmus+
Erasmus+ at our high school – we are opening the door to Europe
Our high school is the only high school in Trnava that has received financial support from the Erasmus+ program. This achievement brings students opportunities that go beyond regular school education – allowing them to travel, explore the world, and grow both personally and academically.
Thanks to the programme, students can take part in group mobilities and long-term study stays, during which they gain new experience, develop language skills and learn to function in an international environment.
What do our students gain?
Experience from abroad: getting to know different cultures, schools and ways of life.
Language assurance: everyday communication in a foreign language in a natural and casual way.
New contacts and collaborations: joint projects with partner schools and friendships across Europe.
Preparing for the future
Student mobility strengthens competences that are essential in the modern world:
Soft skills: independence, teamwork, flexibility.
Personal development: greater self-confidence, openness to new situations, new perspectives.
Better employability: foreign experience is among the most valued on a resume.
Financial support: the grant covers costs and also provides assistance to students with specific needs.
At the same time, European projects also enrich the school – bringing international partnerships, new pedagogical approaches and innovative activities that move education forward.
Erasmus+ at our high school creates space for growth, discovery and education without borders.
ERASMUS MOBILITY BELGIUM
At the end of January, we accepted a cordial invitation from our colleagues from Go! Antheneum Geraardsbergen. We participated in our first Erasmus program in Belgium, specifically in the small town of Geraardsbergen approximately an hour away from Brussels.
Our stay was unforgettable for the students, especially thanks to the combination of their open minds and high level of education.
Furthermore, the city of Geraardsbergen itself is a magical city, famous for its steep streets and legendary mattentaarten cakes.
The host families welcomed our children with great cordiality, which made them feel at home in Belgium.
In addition to new knowledge from the workshops, the students brought home precious friendships. Staying with host families allowed them to get to know the Belgian lifestyle first-hand and overcome language barriers in a natural way.
Creative activities, such as making T-shirts or sparkling bath bombs, relaxed the atmosphere and German lessons showed them that foreign languages can also be learned playfully.
A trip to Bruges, a visit to the VR Museum and the visit to the European Parliament in Brussels are all experiences they will remember for a long time.
We returned home full of inspiration and with a better overview of European culture.
TEAMWORK WAS REWARDED WITH FIRST PLACE
Members of Student Union took part in a teambuilding event called Together We Can Achieve More at the Team Up center in Bratislava.
In a friendly and motivating atmosphere, they competed and tackled time-limited challenges as a team. Our girls ranked first among all participating teams!
The activity was supported by the Youth Council of the Trnava Region as part of the Erasmus+ project Participation in School Parliaments: Quality and Sustainable Solutions.
We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the workshop where our project was created — and funded.
We believe that this experience will help us improve the functioning of student union at out school in the upcoming school year.
Participation of School Parliaments: Quality and Sustainable Solutions
Together with members of the student union, Ella Dagmar K. and Leon ., we attended the introductory presentation meeting of the project organized by the Youth Council of the Trnava Region. The project, funded by Erasmus+, aims to support the development and quality of student parliaments. Our student union will have the opportunity to participate in training sessions, acquire new skills, create our own project, and present it at a conference.
