Our high school students participated in European Code Week, organizing a day of activities within a broader project of integration between disciplines STEAM and Coding.
Classes of the years 1, 2, 3 challenged each other in coding activities created by mathematics, biology, chemistry and computer science teachers. The activities consisted for example, in the use of binary code transmitted as sounds were played with the hands, or recognition of animals particles from traces of genetic code, or inventing algorithms of mathematical functions, for encrypted messages using the periodic table.
The activities were also coordinated by a small group of students belonging to a "Coding Team", having weekly Informatics extra lessons. They learned in a few weeks to build and manage a mobile/desktop responsive website, which they updated during the day; the uloading the results of the activities and adding photos to the site's gallery https://codingday.besstbesst.repl.co/gallery.html
We also have a special prize for the winning class.
