Cinema visit 28.9.2020 (Y2, Y3)

In an age full of modern technology, the Internet, sharing your life through social networks, there are many pitfalls that even the younger of us will not miss. Therefore, we decided to show students how to behave properly if such a situation happens to them or their acquaintances.

The film V SIETI: Behind the school offers children a professional opportunity to learn how to behave responsibly on the Internet and how to seek help. An important message that we would like to pass on to children is that HELP EXISTS if they have a similar experience as the girls in the film. However, it is equally important that they do not get into such situations.

European Language day

Students across grades 1-3 had the opportunity to find out that not all words that we consider to be purely Slovak are really Slovak. In addition to finding out the origin of selected words, students should also use these words when creating an artistic text on the topic of European languages. Students demonstrated their creative abilities and played fairy tales, poems and rap works.

Ethics lesson with Mr. Martin

The beautiful weather also drove us out to the ethics class, to the schoolyard, where we continued teaching and rehearsed the scenes, which we then played and guessed what lesson the scene represents. In class, we tested our acting talent, the ability to empathize with the feelings of others (empathy), and they laughed a lot. We are already looking forward to the next lessons. 😊

Adaptation course II.A - Day First (8.9.2020)

Getting to know one another better was one of the reasons for spending some time outside the school. In addition, what could be a better way of starting a new school year? Our first day was just great. We took a nice walk to Slávia and played tennis. Then, we had a lovely lunch together, which was followed by sky trail, high rope course. Some of us had to overcome their fear but it was definitely worth it.

Adaptation course II.A - Day Two (9.9.2020)

A beautiful sunny day couldn`t have been spent in a better way and place. We set off in the morning and after a short bus tour we hiked to the ruins of Tematin castle and back. Our lunch was a short barbeque that contained some sausages, veggie and bread.

Adaptation course II.A - Day Three (10.9.2020)

Cycling and exploring the countryside that surrounds Trnava was a way to get to know the area where our school is situated and be together on fresh air. We experienced a lot of fun and had a great chance to talk about things outside the school.

Adaptation course II.B - Day First (8.9.2020)

On the first day we decided to overcome a slight hike to the ruins of the castle Tematín near Piešťany. During the hour-long tourism from Bezovec to the castle, the shadow of the trees chased us from the bright sun, so we could enjoy our stay in nature. For lunch we had a barbecue in a nearby fireplace.

Adaptation course II.B - Day Two (9.9.2020)

On this day, a 20 km long cycle route awaited us. Our journey started in the morning in front of the school, from where we continued to Modranka, Zelenča, Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou and Kamenný mlýn. We took two breaks for refreshments and for lunch we went to the center of Trnava.

Adaptation course II.B - Day Three (10.9.2020)

We spent the third, last day in the Slávia sports complex and in the rope center. After two more physically strenuous days, this trip was a break. On the tennis courts, the coach and talents from our class introduced us to the basics of tennis. Many of us have never held a rocket in our hands, but that has not deterred us. After tennis, we moved to the rope center, where we later had lunch.

Friday breakfast during PE lesson

The fresh air is beneficial for young people, which was also shown during a walk during a physical education class, which we upgraded with a join breakfast at a local café. This great idea originated in the heads of our third-graders, whom I thank for such a great beginning of Friday morning, September 11, 2020, before the next hours of creative study at our Bilingual high school BESST.
